The Funeral Service
The Bagpipes make a fitting tribute to the commemoration of loved ones at their funeral service. Pipers have been active in the celebration of one’s life for centuries. Mourners will be moved when they hear and see a piper leading the cortege. The Bagpipes have, and can, be played at funerals of a variety of different cultures.
The Bagpipes can enhance the service by being played from the commencement of the procession to the chapel or graveside. Traditionally, a series of Airs and Laments are played at this time.
During the service, the Bagpipes can be played during the Reflection period, and also at The Committal. To conclude the service, the piper can render a final farewell to your loved one.
